Resumo

Resumo: Este artigo tem por objetivo refletir teórico-metodologicamente sobre a inserção das fontes digitais nas pesquisas históricas, face às metamorfoses culturais contemporâneas, onde a atuação do historiador está passando por uma transformação cultural significativa no contexto atual da tecnologia no Brasil, que perpassa a volatilidade dos registros dos fatos até a propriedade dos dados das fontes digitais. Além disso, essas reflexões resultam das novas categorias de perguntas sobre o passado que implicam em novas categorias de fontes para suplementar as pesquisas históricas, e que podem ser resumidos nos seguintes eixos: compreensão da cultura histórica, pouca discussão sobre fontes digitais, o excesso de informação, o problema da instabilidade das tecnologias, a manipulação indiscriminada dos documentos digitais, por fim, a importância da crítica no contexto metodológico.

Abstract: This article aims to reflect theoretically and methodologically on the insertion of digital sources in historical research, in the face of contemporary cultural metamorphoses, where the historian's performance is undergoing a significant cultural transformation in the current context of technology in Brazil, which passes through the volatility of the records of the facts to the ownership of data from digital sources. Moreover, these reflections result from new categories of questions about the past that imply new categories of sources to supplement historical research, which can be summarized in the following axes: understanding of historical culture, little discussion about digital sources, the excess of information, the problem of instability of technologies, the indiscriminate manipulation of digital documents, finally, the importance of criticism in the methodological context.
