Sistema de Organização da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde Prevenção e Controle de Câncer

Resumo: O artigo descreve a elaboração para a Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde Prevenção e Controle do Câncer, iniciativa da BIREME/OPAS/OMS, de um Sistema de Organização do Conhecimento (SKO) baseado em um modelo de conceitos para atender o propósito da organização e recuperação da informação de forma não ambígua e eficaz. Esse modelo está em desenvolvimento e atenderá a iniciativa de padronização dos assuntos e permitirá obter maior precisão na busca por informações pertinentes a necessidades específicas dos usuários, bem como fornecer estruturas para interoperar com outros sistemas. Esta pesquisa inova ao fazer a identificação do Domínio Prevenção e Controle do Câncer, a partir do enfoque da Organização e Representação do Conhecimento, e permitir propor a representação deste domínio por meio de um vocabulário controlado.
Abstract: The article describes the elaboration for the Virtual Health Library Cancer Prevention and Control, initiative of BIREME/PAHO/WHO, of Knowledge Organization System (SKO) based on a model of concepts to meet the purpose of organization and information retrieval unambiguously and effectively. This model is under development and will meet the initiative of standardizing matters and will allow greater precision in the search for information relevant to the specific needs of users, as well as providing structures to interoperate with other systems. This research innovates when identifying the Domain Prevention and Control of Cancer, from the focus of the Organization and Knowledge Representation, and allows to propose the representation of this domain through a controlled vocabulary.
